During this semester I have been recycling Wine corks into my art. (haha get it my last name) My friend Frank Gumpert who works at Olive Garden brings me bags full of wine corks that they would of otherwise thrown away.
My first Cork painting was a tree. I was inspired by the Whistler tree which is the largest cork tree in the world. The Whistler tree got from the many song birds that inhabit it.
