Journal 8 - State of the World Reflection

The State of the world presentations were very eye-opening. I learned the most about the chapter I did, Chapter Nine - Post Harvest Crop Loss. I learned how far behind the continent of Africa is when it comes to Crop Storage, Food Preservation and Transportation. They have a long road ahead of them if they want to fix their problems of nutrient degradation, moisture and humidity, mold and fungus, as well as disease, rodents and insects. All of these factors are contributing to a huge decrease in the quality of life. Food spoilage and infestation are leading to serious health problems.
